Conversations and Cocktails

  • The Joinery 2533 W Homer Chicago, IL 60647 (map)

Join WE EVENTS and Urban Ohana for the next Cocktails & Conversations event, Building Communities of Kindness: Normalizing Differences. This event will focus on The Nora Project's mission to teach empathy by sparking friendships between students and their peers with disabilities. Learn ways to build empathy by recognizing and naming emotions. Parents and educators can help teach children empathy by explaining their own emotions during significant events and point out the connection between events and emotions.

Let's build communities of kindness together by normalizing differences. Join other parents and educators for an evening of cocktails, community building, craft making and hearing from an Inclusion Specialist. A portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit The Nora Project.

Evening Schedule:

6-6:15pm - Check in and socializing

6:30-7:15 - Guest Speakers: inclusion specialists Courtney and Sarah
